Python Software Developer

Job Type: Full-time

Job Description

We are currently seeking developers to design, develop, test, document, and maintain e-commerce, Point-of-Sale, and business applications, interfaces and integrations. We are looking for individuals who are experienced in a Linux only environment and can independently set up test environments and troubleshoot problems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, debug, test, and document (technical) applications.
  • Troubleshoot, identify, and fix reported issues with existing applications.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to other developers.
  • Provide assistance to the support team by troubleshooting and identifying issues in the production environment.

Skills & Experience

  • Highly organized
  • Excellent communication skills and knowledge retention
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • 3+ years developing software in Python
  • 2+ Years of experience with SQL
  • Experience with the Linux command line and Linux operating system
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience with the Qt Python & C++ framework is a valuable asset

Customer Software Support & Success Representative

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

The role

As a First-Level Software Support Representative you will be responsible for assisting our customers with software support issues, providing training, duplicating and reporting software issues. You will work with our support lead and our development team to resolve customer requests.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work directly with a short list of customers, building customer relationships in the process. In this role you will be able to work with customers not only solve their present challenges, but also make recommendations on how to better use our suite of products based on their needs.

The primary role is to provide software support to customers via phone, email, and web-based support tickets. You will troubleshoot issues directly with customers. Your goal will be to resolve individual issues and close support tickets. When support tickets cannot be resolved directly, you will gather detailed information about the issue with screen captures, screen recordings, and written explanations of the issue for next level support and developers to duplicate and fix the issue.

Additionally, you will set up our hardware products, and install and configure our software prior to shipping orders out.

Secondary functions of this role, requiring 10-15% of your time, will include some administrative responsibilities, including taking customer orders, creating and sending project estimates, editing customer contracts, customer counter service, shipping customer orders, purchasing and receiving of inventory, and some book-keeping, and support to management and sales as needed.
